Field, Goldberg, Harris, et al. Nominated for People’s Choice Awards

Nominations for the annual People’s Choice Awards have been announced. The results will be announced as part of a live broadcast on CBS on Tuesday, January 8; the show will be hosted by Queen Latifah, one of this year’s nominees.

Among the notable nominations: the song “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray is up for Favorite Song from a Soundtrack. Broadway veterans Neil Patrick Harris and Chandra Wilson are up against comedian Richard Belzer for Favorite Scene-Stealing Star, while nominations were also earned by Broadway veterans Sally Field (Favorite Female TV Star), Whoopi Goldberg (Favorite Funny Female Star), and Denzel Washington (Favorite Male Movie Star).
