Keri Russell to Play Eve Harrington in Actors Fund’s All About Eve Benefit Reading

Keri Russell will play Eve Harrington in the staged reading of All About Eve, to be presented as a benefit for The Actor’s Fund at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre on November 10 at 7:30 pm. John Erman will direct the reading.

As previously announced, the cast will also include Brian Bedford (Addison DeWitt), Annette Bening (Margo Channing), Zoe Caldwell (Chief Prompter), Jessica Cummings (Phoebe),Peter Gallagher (Bill), Joel Grey (Max Fabian), Angela Lansbury (Birdie), Cynthia Nixon (Karen), Steve Ross (the Pianist), John Slattery (Lloyd), and Jennifer Tilly (Miss Caswell).

Joseph L. Mankiewicz’s classic backstage drama is based on the short story “The Wisdom of Eve,” by Mary Orr. It tells the tale of a prominent yet aging Broadway star and the willingly helpful young fan who insinuates herself into the star’s life.

Russell won a Golden Globe Award for Felicity, and her numerous film and television credits include Waitress, Mission: Impossible III, The Mickey Mouse Club, Into the West, and the forthcoming Bedtime Stories and Leaves of Grass. She made her New York theatrical debut in Neil Labute’s Fat Pig at MCC Theater.
