Robert Creighton, La-Von Fisher-Wilson, Tom Hewitt to Join Company of Broadway’s Chicago

Tony Award nominee Tom Hewitt will return to the Broadway production of Chicago, at the Ambassador Theatre, beginning November 22. He will succeed Brent Barrett in the role of lawyer, Billy Flynn.

In addition, Robert Creighton and LaVon Fisher-Wilson will join the cast on November 29, replacing Raymond Bokhour and Roz Ryan, respectively, as Amos Hart and Matron “Mama” Morton.

Hewitt received Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations for his performance as Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Show. His Broadway credits also include Dracula, The Musical; The Boys form Syracuse; The Lion King; School for Scandal and The Sisters Rosensweig.

Creighton’s Broadway credits include The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Jackie Mason’s Laughing Room Only. Fisher-Wilson has appeared on Broadway in The Color Purple and in the national touring productions of Dreamgirls and The Color Purple.

The cast also currently features two-time Tony Award nominee Charlotte d’Amboise as Roxie Hart and original revival cast member Leigh Zimmerman as Velma Kelly.

Chicago has been directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking. The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), William Ivey Long (costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), and Scott Lehrer (sound design).
