Alton Fitzgerald White, who stars as Mufasa in the Broadway production of The Lion King, will perform at the first annual Shannon’s S.H.A.R.E. Fundraiser Gala, to be held at Juliet Supperclub, on Monday, November 7, beginning at 6:30pm.

The event will celebrate the life of Shannon Tavarez, the 11-year-old performer who played Young Nala in Broadway’s The Lion King, and who passed away last year from acute myeloid leukemia. Former Lion King ensemble member Lisa Wilkerson will MC the evening, and performers will also include Lion King cast member James Brown-Orlenes.

Shannon’s S.H.A.R.E. is dedicated to the education and recruitment of potential bone marrow donors through various programs and services, especially in communities where the need is most prevalent.

Bone marrow donor registration at the event will be provided by DKMS, America’s largest bone marrow donor center. Interested parties can also register at www.GetSwabbed.org.
