Broadway Blows Back Hurricane Sandy Relief Concert Pushed Back to December 10

Broadway Blows Back has changed the date of its benefit concert to Monday December 10 at 7:30pm at the Gershwin Theatre.
The company of Broadway’s Wicked will break from displacing houses to Oz to help rebuild real-life New York City homes by co-presenting this concert, which benefits The Tunnel to Towers Foundation and The Mayor’s Fund for New York.
Performers scheduled to participate include Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce (Curtains), Tony Award nominee Patrick Wilson (All My Sons), Eden Espinosa (Wicked), Elizabeth Stanley (Million Dollar Quartet), Drama Desk Award nominee Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins), Tony Award nominee Christopher Sieber (La Cage Aux Folles), Drama Desk Award nominee Julia Murney (Wicked, Falling), Tony Award nominee Christiane Noll (Chaplin), The Mystery of Edwin Drood cast members Robert Creighton and Tony Award nominee Jessie Mueller, and more.
One hundred percent of proceeds will go to the two organizations, which support relief efforts in New York and New Jersey.
Mayor Bloomberg expressed gratitude for the benefit, saying “We are grateful for the support we’ve received from…the theater community and City of Hope: Broadway Blows Back, who are pitching in the help our city recover from this devastating storm.”
