Catherine Malfitano to Star in DiCapo Opera’s The Martyrs

Opera legend Catherine Malfitano and Zeffin Quinn Holls will star in Dicapo Opera Theatre’s world premiere of Thomas Pasatieri’s and Daphne Malfitano’s The Martyrs, to run November 8-18.

The opera tells the stories of two quintessentially American antiheroes, each seeking justice but vilified by their rural societies, forcing them to live — or die —as modern-day martyrs.

Catherine Malfitano won an Emmy Award for her performance in the title role of Tosca. Her many other credits include Salome, La Boheme, and The Saint of Bleecker Street.
