Classic Stage Company’s Ivanov With Ethan Hawke Postpones Official Opening Until November 15

Due to the power outages in downtown Manhattan stemming from Hurricane Sandy, Classic Stage Company has postponed the opening of Austin Pendleton‘s production of Anton Chekhov’s Ivanov from Sunday, November 4 to Thursday, November 15. Pending the restoration of power in the area, the organization hopes to resume performances by Saturday evening, November 3.

Ethan Hawke stars in the title role. The cast also includes Joely Richardson (Anna), Juliet Rylance (Sasha), Glenn Fitzgerald (Borkin), Annette Hunt (Avdotya Nazarovna), Stephanie Janssen (Babakina), Roberta Maxwell (Zinaida), George Morfogen (Shabelsky), James Patrick Nelson (Kosykh), Anthony Newfield (Guest), Jonathan Marc Sherman (Lvov), Anne Troupe (Gavrila). In addition, Pendleton will play Lebedev.
