Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Alice Ripley, Lea Salonga Among American Songbook Artists

Lincoln Center has announced the line-up for its annual American Songbook series, which will be held at Rose Hall, the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse, and The Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The season will open on January 30 with Tony Award winner Lea Salonga, and will also include singer-songwriter Valerie Simpson (January 31); Broadway veteran Karen Akers (February1), Cecile McLorin Savant (February 2), Ring Them Bells, Rob Fisher Celebrates Kander & Ebb featuring Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley, with special guests Chita Rivera and Joel Grey (February 6), Bonnie “Prince” Billy (February 7), Stephanie Blythe (February 9), Sondra Lerche (February 13), and Mavis Staples (February 14).

Performances will also include Tony Award winner Kristen Chenoweth (February 15), Tom Morello (February 16), Kathy Mattea (February 27), Lost in the Trees (February 28), The Songs of Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey featuring Tony winners Idina Menzel and Alice Ripley along with Brian d’Arcy James (March 1), and Ingrid Michaelson (March 2)

Appearing at the Kaplan Penthouse will be Lindsay Mendez and Marco Paguia (March 29), cabaret star Meow Meow (March 30), Tony Award nominee Cristin Milioti (April 5), composer Ricky Ian Gordon (April 6), Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, with Michael Arden, Nikki M. James, Carrie Manolakos, and Josh Young (April 19), and Ben Sollee (April 20).
