The Irish Repertory Theatre will ring in the holiday season with It’s A Wonderful Life: The 1946 Live Radio Play, beginning December 5 at the company’s W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre. Charlotte Moore directs the holiday classic, which is adapted by Anthony E. Palermo from Frank Capra’s seminal film.

Set in a 1940s radio station, complete with a live sound FX artist (Zach Williamson), the show tells the story of George Bailey, a nice guy threatening suicide, who, with the help of his wing-less guardian angel Clarence learns how much he means to the people in the town.

The cast will include Rory Duffy, Katie Fabel, Kristin Griffith, Ian Holcombe, Peter Maloney, and Max Gordon Moore.
