Flashback Friday: Spider-Man's First Thanksgiving

A look back at the early days of the soon-to-be-closing Bono-composed musical.

Yesterday, cast members from Matilda, Motown, Pippin, and Kinky Boots danced their cold behinds across that giant Macy's star to commemorate their first years on the Great White Way. Each year, musical theater buffs look forward to this Whitman's Sampler of Broadway offerings featured at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, so TheaterMania decided to pay its respects to this time-honored tradition by flashing back to another Thanksgiving Day performance.

Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark, scheduled to close this January after three tumultuous years on Broadway, performed on Turkey Day back in 2011, just five months after its official opening (though previews started around Thanksgiving 2010). Take a look at Reeve Carney, Patrick Page, and an army of acrobatic Spider-Men as they perform a medley from the production.
