Arden, Datz, Ritchie, et al. Set for Old Globe’s Ace

Broadway stars Michael Arden, Lisa Datz, and Darren Ritchie will star in Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker’s musical Ace at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, January 13-February 18. The show, to be directed by Stafford Arima, will open officially on January 18.

Ace concerns an unhappy young boy and the aviators of World Wars I and II; the show has already been produced this season at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis and the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, directed by Arima and starring Matt Bogart, Jessica Boevers, and Chris Peluso.

The creative team for the Old Globe productino includes David Kreppel (musical direction), Andrew Palermo (choreography), Greg Anthony (orchestrations), David Korins (sets), Marie Anne Chiment (costumes), Christopher Akerlind (lighting), and John H. Shivers and David Patridge (sound)

The cast also includes Heather Ayers, Kelli Barrett, Richard Barth, Ian Brininstool, Gabrielle Boyadjian, Noah Galvin, James Judy, Susan Kokot Stokes, Duke Lafoon, Kevin Reed, Danny Rothman, Maddie Shea Baldwin, Traci Lyn Thomas, Gabrielle Stravelli, and Betsy Wolfe.
