Rebecca Brooksher and Pablo Schreiber are set to star in the Lincoln Center Theater production of Christopher Shinn’s new play Dying City. The show will begin performances at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater on February 15 and will open officially on March 4.

Dying City is the story of Kelly, a young therapist whose husband dies while on military duty in Iraq. A year later, her husband’s identical twin brother arrives unexpectedly at Kelly’s door, seeking solace and answers to the mystery of his brother’s death. James Macdonald will direct the LCT production; the design team includes Anthony Ward (sets and costumes), Pat Collins (lighting), and Guy Sherman/Aural Fixation (sound).

Shinn is the author of such plays as Four, Where Do We Live, What Didn’t Happen, The Coming World, and Other People. Macdonald’s credits include the world premiere of Dying City at London’s Royal Court Theatre and the New York Theater Workshop production of Caryl Churchill’s A Number.

Brookshner, a recent graduate of Juilliard, will make her LCT and Off-Broadway debut in Dying City. She has appeared at the Actors Theatre of Louisville and the Guthrie Theatre, and she was in the CBS-TV series Love Monkey. Schreiber received a Tony nomination for his performance in Awake and Sing! His other New York stage credits include Mr. Marmalade, Manuscript, and Julius Caesar.
