Cindy Williams to Join Drowsy Chaperone on December 11

Cindy Williams will play Mrs. Tottendale in the award-winning Broadway musical The Drowsy Chaperone beginning on Tuesday, December 11. She replaces JoAnne Worley, who departs on Sunday, December 9.

Williams’ stage credits include Grease, Moon Over Buffalo, and Deathtrap. She is best known for her starring role on the hit ABC sitcom Laverne & Shirley. Her other film and television credits include Travels with My Aunt, The Conversation, and Girlfriends.

The Drowsy Chaperone won five 2006 Tony Awards, including Best Book (Bob Martin and Don McKellar) and Best Score of a Musical (Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison), and seven Drama Desk Awards, including Best Musical. Directed by Casey Nicholaw, the show also stars Bob Saget, Mari Davi, Danny Burstein, Peter Bartlett, and Beth Leavel.
