Cody, Crampton, Earley, Stadlen, et al. to Join Uggams in Hello, Dolly!

Full casting has been announced for the Jerry Herman-Michael Stewart musical Hello, Dolly! at Houston’s Theatre Under the Stars, which will star Leslie Uggams in the title role. Lee Roy Reams will direct the musical, which will run February 26-March 9.

The principle cast will include Jen Cody (Minnie Fay), Glory Crampton (Irene Molloy), Kevin Earley (Cornelius), Ron Kellum (Ambrose Kemper), Michael McGurk (Barnaby Tucker), Katharine Randolph (Ermengarde Vandergelder), Jessica Sheridan (Ernestina Simple), Lewis J. Stadlen (Horace), and Erick R. Walck (Rudolph).

The ensemble will include Melanie Allen, Brian Barry, Alan Bennett, Nathaniel Braga, Dominic Di Felice, David La Duca, Craig Foster, Adam Gibbs, Kevin Hill, Traci Hines, Darrell T. Joe, Tony Johnson, Laura Kaldis, Richard M. Keck, Dominique Kelley, Chris Klink, Alissa Ann LaVergne, Reid Lee, Sarah Moore, Robert Randle, Christina Stroup, Mary Jo Todaro, Gia Valenti, Paige Wheat and Jennifer Young. Randy Slovacek will be the choreographer.

Uggams won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for Hallelujah, Baby! and has also been seen on Broadway in Anything Goes, Blues in the Night, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and On Golden Pond. She previously appeared at Theatre Under the Stars in Anything Goes and Into the Woods. Uggams is also an Emmy-winning actress and popular recording artist.
