Andrew Rannells to Join Broadway’s Jersey Boys on January 13

Andrew Rannells will join the Broadway cast of Jersey Boys, beginning January 13. He will play Bob Gaudio, replacing current cast member Sebastian Arcelus who will soon be starring in Lincoln Center’s production of Happiness.

Jersey Boys, which tells the story of the music group The Four Seasons, is written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and is directed by Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo. It was first produced at the La Jolla Playhouse and opened at Broadway’s August Wilson Theater on November 6, 2005. It won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical.

The cast also features Matt Bogart (Nick Massi), Dominic Nolfi (Tommy DeVito), and Jarrod Spector (Frankie Valli), with Miles Aubrey, Bridget Berger, Kris Coleman, Ken Dow, Heather Ferguson, Russell Fischer, Peter Gregus, John Hickman, Michelle Knight, Mark Lotito, Katie O’Toole, Joe Payne, Dominic Scaglione Jr., Sara Schmidt, Matthew Scott, Jake Speck, and Taylor Sternberg.

Rannells previously played the role of Bob Gaudio in the national tour of Jersey Boys, and appeared on Broadway as Link Larkin in Hairspray. His other credits include Miss Saigon, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The 60’s Project, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
