Wendi Bergamini Joins Broadway’s Promises, Promises

Wendi Bergamini will assume the role of Miss Olsen in the revival of Promises, Promises, playing at the Broadway Theatre, on December 14. The role had previously been played by Helen Anker.

Bergamini was previously seen on Broadway in South Pacific. Her other stage credits include the national tours of The Light in the Piazza, Cats, and Evita, as well as appearances at such regional theaters as the Westport Country Playhouse, the Goodspeed, CLOSBC, and Western Stage.

Directed and choreographed by Rob Ashford, the musical features a book by Neil Simon and a score by Burt Bacharach and Hal David and stars Kristin Chenoweth (Fran Kubelik) and Sean Hayes (Chuck Baxter).

Also in the company are Tony Goldwyn (J.D. Sheldrake), Molly Shannon (Marge MacDougall), Dick Latessa (Dr. Dreyfuss), Brooks Ashmanskas (Mr. Dobitch), Helen Anker (Miss Olson), Peter Benson (Mr. Kirkeby), Seán Martin Hingston (Mr. Eichelberger) and Ken Land (Jesse Vanderhof).
