Boardwalk Empire‘s Wrenn Schmidt to Headline Mint Theater’s Katie Roche

Play marks final production of company’s three-year project dedicated to work of Teresa Deevy.

The Mint Theater will present a rare production of Teresa Deevy’s Katie Roche, to run January 26-March 24. The production, to be directed by Jonathan Bank, will open officially on Monday, February 25.

The final production of the Mint’s ambitious three-year project dedicated to Deevy’s work, which has previously included Wife To James Whelan in 2010 and Temporal Powers in 2011, the work focuses on an ambitious servant girl.

The cast will feature Wrenn Schmidt in the title role, alongside Margaret Daly, Jon Fletcher, David Friedlander, Thomas M. Hammond, Jamie Jackson, John O’Creagh, and Fiana Toibin.

Schmidt has previously appeared off-Broadway in the Irish Repertory Theatre’s productions of Beyond the Horizon and Sive. She is best known for her portrayal of Julia Sagorsky on HBO’s hit series Boardwalk Empire.

The production will have set design by Vicki R. Davis, costume design by Martha Hally, lighting design by Nicole Pearce, and sound design by Jane Shaw.
