The Broadway Channel will expand the reach of its programming in Manhattan, through an agreement with RCN Cable New York to launch a channel this month. Original segments like “What’s Hot on Broadway” and “Broadway Profiles” will soon reach approximately 85,000 New York City households on Channel 76.

The RCN agreement comes on the heels of four other partnerships, with Time Warner Cable, Mag Rack, Samsung, and The New York Times, the latter of which will feature the channel’s “Broadway Previews” online.

The company’s segments currently air on a channel that can be watched only in certain Manhattan hotels. The company also provides theater-focused programming to other media outlets, including Sprint TV.
