Adam Jacobs, current star of Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway, will release his debut solo album, titled Right Where I Belong, on December 13. The compilation of songs by Tony Award and eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken features tunes including "Proud of Your Boy" (Aladdin), "Go The Distance" (Hercules), "Santa Fe" (Newsies), and "Suddenly Seymour" (Little Shop of Horrors, in duet with Jacobs’ sister Arielle Jacobs).

Music direction and arrangements for the album were provided by James Abbott. Allan Detsky and Adam Jacobs are the executive producers. Right Where I Belong will be available digitally on iTunes, Google Music, Amazon, and Spotify. CDs can be purchased at the merchandise stand in New York City’s New Amsterdam Theatre, where Aladdin plays.

"I've always loved Alan's music," said Jacobs in a statement, "whether it was listening to classics like Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid when I was a kid, or singing his beloved songs onstage in Aladdin for the past five years. I can't think of another composer whose music speaks so personally to people on so many different levels."

Featuring a score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice, Aladdin features a new book and additional lyrics by Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer). In addition to Jacobs, the company features 2014 Tony award winner James Monroe Iglehart as the Genie, Courtney Reed as Princess Jasmin, and Jonathan Freeman as Jafar.
