Alan Alda Honored by Broadway's Best at World Science Festival Gala

The stars came out to salute the veteran actor.

Six-time Emmy Award winner Alan Alda was honored at the World Science Festival gala on Monday, May 23, at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Alda famously starred in television's M*A*S*H and has received three Tony Award nominations, for his performances in The Apple Tree, Jake's Women, and Glengarry Glen Ross. He has also been seen on Broadway in Art, QED, and Purlie Victorious. He received an Academy Award nomination for his work in The Aviator.

The gala featured various Broadway stars singing popular songs with lyrics rewritten with Alda in mind. The lineup included Greg Hildreth (The Robber Bridegroom), Drew Gehling (Waitress), and Kara Lindsay (Wicked), with guests also including television hosts Joy Behar and Regis Philbin, among others.
