Heathers Star Barrett Wilbert Weed to Make Solo Concert Debut

Drama Desk nominee Barrett Wilbert Weed will perform her debut solo show at 54 Below in a 9:30pm concert on September 2.

Weed originated the role of Veronica Sawyer in Heathers: The Musical, earning Lucille Lortel and Drama Desk Award nominations for her performance during her off-Broadway run at New World Stages. Her off-Broadway credits also include Nadia in the 2012 revival of Bare and Denise in Found at the Atlantic Theatre Company.

This past spring, Weed starred opposite Wesley Taylor as Sally Bowles in a production of Cabaret at Virginia's Signature Theatre. Her voice can be heard on the original cast recordings of Heathers and Fugitive Songs.

Weed's solo show will feature a bill of her favorite songs, "from John Mayer to Michael John LaChiusa," with musical direction by Chris Miller (Burnt Part Boys, Fugitive Songs, Tuck Everlasting).
