When it came to Bette Midler's newest album, It's the Girls, she was gonna have it her way or nothin' at all.

Set for a November 4 release, the CD (her first since 2006) features songs made famous by Bette's favorite girl groups. Who would have guessed that the '90s soul trio TLC would make the list along with '60s divas The Supremes, The Ronettes, and The Chiffons? Making its way into Midler's track list is the hit single "Waterfalls" — something she certainly doesn't chase, but would love to sing for anyone moving a little too fast past the rivers and lakes that they're used to.
