Billy Porter to Release New Studio Album Tribute to Richard Rodgers

Tony winner Billy Porter will release a new studio album, Billy Porter Presents the Soul of Richard Rodgers, in April 2017.
Porter's fourth studio album, the work will also mark his first time as producer and content curator. Featuring new takes on classic Richard Rodgers tunes, the album will feature solos and duets by Tony winners Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom Jr., Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Patina Miller, Grammy nominee Ledisi, Tony Award nominees Joshua Henry and Brandon Victor Dixon, and many others.
Porter's theatrical credits include his Tony-winning work in Kinky Boots, Shuffle Along, Miss Saigon, Grease, Topdog/Underdog, and While I Yet Live, among many others. The new album was announced by Bee & El and Sony Masterworks Broadway.
