Newsies, Kinky Boots, and Book of Mormon Performers to Present New Musical, Confirmed, in Concert
Confirmed in Concert: The Music and Lyrics of Kailey Marshall is set for an 11:30pm performance at 54 Below on Thursday, September 25.
The show marks Marshall's first-ever stand-alone cabaret. A roster of Broadway performers will sing numbers from her new musical Confirmed, which tells the story of a rebellious teen whose "wrong questions" spark the "right fires" at the Catholic school she's forced to attend. The evening, directed by Adam Cates, will also feature a collection of world-premiere tunes.
The list of performers includes Dan Deluca (Newsies), Jeff Heimbrock (The Book of Mormon), Caitlin Kinnunen (The Bridges of Madison County), Katie Ladner (Heathers), Ellyn Marie Marsh (Kinky Boots), Danny Quadrino (Newsies), Emily Rogers (Jasper In Deadland), Cortney Wolfson (Kinky Boots), Ethan Carlson, Adam Levy, Tatiana Lofton, Mary Claire Miskell, and Chaz Williams-Ali.
Marshall won the 2014 Fresh Pens Contest with her song "Give It Up" from Confirmed. The musical was also presented as the Pace New Musicals Lab in January 2014.
