Melissa Errico to Sing Sunday in the Park With George With Raúl Esparza

The event at Transport Group’s upcoming gala will honor musical director Mary-Mitchell Campbell.

Tony nominee Melissa Errico has joined the lineup for Transport Group's upcoming gala honoring orchestrator and music director Mary-Mitchell Campbell on February 6 at the Times Center. Campbell will receive the Transporting American Theatre Award, which recognizes significant contributions to American theater.

Kristin Chenoweth, Jonathan Groff, Tituss Burgess, Debra Monk, and Raúl Esparza will also be among the performers. Errico and Esparza will sing selections from Sunday in the Park With George, reprising their roles from the 2002 Kennedy Center production.

Campbell's most recent credits include orchestrations for Sweet Charity, starring Sutton Foster, and musical direction for Kristin Chenoweth: My Love Letter to Broadway. She has also lent music direction and orchestrations to Tuck Everlasting, Finding Neverland, Company (Drama Desk Award win for Orchestrations), Allegro (Drama Desk Award nomination for Orchestrations), The Addams Family, Carrie, Sweeney Todd, Road Show, and Next to Normal.

For Transport Group, Campbell served as musical director for First Lady Suite and orchestrator for Hello Again (Drama Desk Award nomination). In addition to her musical career, Campbell, the founder of ASTEP — Artists Striving to End Poverty, is passionate about arts education and poverty reduction. She has been featured on the television show Giving, and was NY1's New Yorker of the Week for her philanthropic work. She has served on the faculties of NYU, Boston College, and Juilliard, and holds degrees from Furman University and North Carolina School of the Arts.
