Flashback Friday: Christopher Jackson and Freestyle Love Supreme in TheaterMania's Kitchen

The ”Hamilton” Tony nominee and more members of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s performance group rap about the beautiful warm weather.

Founded by Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda and Anthony Veneziale, Freestyle Love Supreme is a performance group that takes its audience on a "hip-hop improv ride, spinning cues from the audience into instantaneous riffs and fully realized musical numbers." The rotating group also features Broadway favorites like James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin) and Hamilton Tony nominee Christopher "C-Jack" Jackson.

In 2014, Jackson joined Andrew "Jelly Donut" Bancroft, Chris "Shockwave" Sullivan, and "Arthur the Geniuses" Lewis to perform a TheaterMania Kitchen Concert, laying down some beats about the newly lovely weather in NYC. As the 2016 weather keeps heating up and Broadway hip-hop is on everyone's mind, we look back at the scorching performance.
