Broadway vets Hunter Foster (The Bridges of Madison County) and Lorin Latarro (Waitress) will collaborate on readings of the new musical Far From the Madding Crowd on November 17 and 18.

Foster will direct the production, with Latarro serving as choreographer. Inspired by Thomas Hardy's novel of the same title, the musical has a score by Gary Schocker with book and lyrics by Barbara Campbell. Paul Masse will provide musical direction for a cast that includes Laura Darrell, Joe Dellger, Mark DiConzo, Michael Halling, Katherine Henly, Leah Horowitz, Polly McKie, Will Reynolds, Elena Ricardo, Aaron Riesebeck, Austin Scott, Hansel Tan, Julius Thomas III, and Alexandra Zorn.

Far From the Madding Crowd charts the journey of Bathsheba Everdene, a young woman struggling to make her own way in a world that rigidly dictates women’s roles and behavior. The invite-only event is presented by Jayne Ackley Lynch Productions.
