Gallery Players Bring a New Julius Caesar to Brooklyn

This new production of Shakespeare’s play will be directed by James Dean Palmer.

The Brooklyn-based Gallery Players have announced their production of Julius Caesar will be performed at Gallery Players Theatre July 13-30.

Directed by James Dean Palmer, the Gallery Players production will compress "Shakespeare’s story of ambition, duty, and political intrigue into 16 high-voltage scenes using every corner and crevice of the 99-seat Park Slope venue."

The cast will feature Erin Anderson, Elyana Aronow, Patricia Black, Erin Capistrano, Russell Linzy Carpenter, Sergio Fuenzalida, David Glover, Jenny Jarnagin, Drew Ledbetter, Bibi Mama, Cory McCants, Kevin McGuire, Victoria Morales, Elisha Mudly, Philip Schneider, Griffin Sharps, and Eric Ryan Swanson.

The creative team will include Sarice Olson (scenic designer), Susanne Houstle (costume designer), Kate McGee (lighting designer), Almeda Beynon (sound designer), Ana Esposito (fight director), Myah Shein (movement director), Andrus Nichols (voice & text coach), Drew Ledbetter (associate director), Irene Lazaridis (production stage manager), Katharina Windemuth (associate costume designer), and Anthony Stultz (associate sound designer).
