EXCLUSIVE: Hershey Felder to Return to US for One-Night-Only {Jewish} Sing-Along

Felder will perform the work of great Jewish composers from George Gershwin to Leonard Bernstein.

Hershey Felder, now appearing on the London stage through October 22 in his solo show Our Great Tchaikovsky, will return to the U.S. for a one-night-only performance at New York City's at the Streicker Center. On October 16 at 7:30pm, Felder will perform Hershey Felder — {Jewish} Sing-Along, featuring the music of some of America’s greatest Jewish composers of the 20th century including George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein, Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and others.

The show is described as "a musical trip through 100 years of the yiddishe bochers who wrote
Broadway’s songbook, a soundtrack of American written by American Jews." Audience members are invited to sing along to songs from classic musicals such as Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, South Pacific, Oklahoma!, West Side Story, Porgy & Bess, and more.

Following the Sing-Along, Felder will return to London to complete his run of Our Great Tchaikovsky at the Other Palace Theatre, in which he offers an in-depth look at the professional and personal life of Russian composer Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Felder's other solo productions have included George Gershwin Alone, Monsieur Chopin, Beethoven, Maestro (Leonard Bernstein), Franz Liszt in Musik, Lincoln: An American Story, and Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin.
