The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center will present stage and screen favorite Judith Light with its 17th Monte Cristo Award during a ceremony on Sunday, May 21, at 583 Park Avenue. The award will be presented by Thomas Kail, an O'Neill alum who directed Light on Broadway in Lombardi.

Tony and Drama Desk Award winner Judith Light has appeared on Broadway in plays including Lombardi, Other Desert Cities, The Assembled Parties, and Thérèse Raquin. Light's long TV career has included lead roles in Who's the Boss?, Ugly Betty, and Transparent. She currently stars in God Looked Away at the Pasadena Playhouse.

The Monte Cristo Award is presented to a prominent individual each year in recognition of a distinguished career exemplifying Eugene O'Neill's "pioneering spirit, unceasing artistic commitment, and excellence," and furthering the American theater.
