Downtown performing arts venue SubCulture has announced the special guests for Tony-winning composer Jason Robert Brown's November, December, and January artist-in-residence concerts.

On November 14, Brown will be joined by singer and actress Eden Espinosa (Wicked). Tony Award-nominated actor and singer Norm Lewis (The Phantom of the Opera) will be on hand December 11, and, Tony Award winner Kelli O'Hara (The King and I) will make her second guest appearance in this concert series on January 9.

"My next three collaborations reflect different stages of my life – Eden Espinosa, with whom I’ve only just started working; Norm Lewis, who I’ve known for many years but have never gotten to share a concert; and Kelli, for whom I wrote some of my favorite music. In addition to these unique and glorious singers, there will be a gaggle of wonderful instrumentalists sharing the stage and adding their inimitable voices to the conversation," said Brown in a statement.

Jason Robert Brown's most recent Broadway offering, Honeymoon in Vegas, played at the Nederlander Theatre last year. He is also the composer behind the musicals Parade, The Bridges of Madison County, and The Last Five Years. A film version of The Last Five Years, starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan, was released in 2015.

Brown's SubCulture residency is currently in its second year. Each performance incorporates a mix of material featuring music from throughout his career, along with new works in development. The series has featured an array of special guests, including Kelli O'Hara, Steve Pasquale, Norbert Leo Butz, Tom Kitt, Tony Danza, Laura Benanti, Cynthia Erivo, Tituss Burgess, Lena Hall, and more.
