First Look at LaChanze, Norm Lewis, and the Starry Cast of Cabin in the Sky

The concert production at City Center is the first offering of the Encores! 2016 season.

Vernon Duke and John Latouche's Cabin in the Sky played the second of its seven performances at New York City Center last night. Running through February 14, the production is directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson with choreography by Camille A. Brown. Tony Award winner Jonathan Tunick re-creates the musical's original orchestrations.

Cabin in the Sky stars J. Bernard Calloway (Memphis), Tony winner Chuck Cooper (Amazing Grace), Marva Hicks (Motown), Carly Hughes (Pippin), Tony winner LaChanze (If/Then), Tony nominee Norm Lewis (The Phantom of the Opera), Forrest McClendon (The Scottsboro Boys), and J.D.
