The stars of the Public Theater's premiere of Lin-Manuel Miranda's new musical Hamilton were in a partying mood following their opening-night performance on February 17. Before the glowing reviews had even started to roll in, the cast was beaming at the audience and bringing their selfie game.

Hamilton has already twice extended its run and is set to play through May 3. Directed by Thomas Kail and inspired by Ron Chernow's biography Alexander Hamilton, Hamilton explores the life of the American founding father and first Secretary of the Treasury, as well as his experiences as an orphan of the British West Indies who immigrated to the 13 colonies and helped shape the United States of America.

In addition to Miranda himself who takes on the title role, Hamilton stars Christopher Jackson (George Washington), Brian d'Arcy James (King George), Renée Elise Goldsberry (Angelica Schuyler), Phillipa Soo (Eliza Hamilton), Leslie Odom Jr. (Aaron Burr), Daveed Diggs (Marquis De Lafayette, Thomas Jefferson), Anthony Ramos (John Laurens, Phillip Hamilton), Okieriete Onaodowan (Hercules Mulligan, James Madison), and Jasmine Cephas Jones (Peggy Shuyler, Maria Reynolds).
