The life of gossip columnist Liz Smith will be celebrated on Friday, February 2, at the Majestic Theatre.

Smith died on November 12 after a career that saw her as one of the most widely read and highly paid columnists in the world for more than a quarter of a century. She also worked with charitable causes including Literacy Partners, New York Landmarks Conservancy, the Police Athletic League, and the New York Restoration Project.

Speakers will include Barry Diller, Joni Evans, Cynthia McFadden, Billy Norwich, Lesley Stahl, Holland Taylor, Bruce Willis, and Renee Zellweger. Tommy Tune and Betty Buckley will pay musical tribute. Representing Smith's family will be her niece, Karen Smith Williamson, and her godson, Spencer Hoge.

Free and open to the public, the ceremony will begin at noon, and will have an entrance line that forms on West 44th Street toward Eighth Avenue.
