Red Bull Theater has announced plans for the 10th Annual Running of the Red Bulls Gala Benefit, set to take place March 26 at the Bowery Hotel. The event will celebrate the company's 15th season and honor Ismenia Mendes, Charlayne Woodard, and the Fund for the City of New York with the 2018 Matador Awards for Excellence in Classical Theater.

Hosted by Michael Urie and featuring performances by Tony Award winner Judy Kuhn and others, special guests and presenters will include Michael Arad, John Glover, Daniel Sullivan, Kathleen Chalfant, Daniel Sullivan, Patrick Page, Michael McGrath, Laila Robins, Jeffrey Hatcher, Paige Davis, Derek Smith, Arnie Burton, Manoel Felciano, Talene Monahan, Jennifer Ikeda, Matthew Rauch, Christian Conn, Louisa Proske, Nick Westrate, and more.

Begun in 2009, Matador Awards are given annually to recognize individuals or organizations that have demonstrated extraordinary talent, service, or significant achievements in the Classical Theater. Proceeds from the evening support all of Red Bull Theater's programs, including the upcoming off-Broadway premiere of David Ives's The Metromaniacs, directed by Michael Kahn.
