Waitress songwriter and Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert star Sara Bareilles will receive the Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Billboard reports.

The ceremony will take place on June 14. Also honored will be Bill Anderson, Kool & The Gang's Robert "Kool" Bell, Ronald Bell, George Brown, and James "JT" Taylor, Stephen Dorff, Jermaine Dupri, Alan Jackson, John Mellencamp, and Allee Willis, the Tony-nominated co-songwriter of The Color Purple.

Created in 2004, the Hal David Starlight Award is given to young songwriters who are making a significant impact in the music industry through their original work.
