Sting surprised the audience at the Neil Simon Theatre on October 27 when he took the stage following the opening-night performance of The Last Ship to give an unexpected thank-you speech. Much to the delight of the cast and the sold-out house, the 16-time Grammy winner even started singing, leading a chorus of the new musical's title number before the curtain came down.
