Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew Comes to American Movie Screens

Toby Frow's revival of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew comes to American cinemas today, October 14, as part of London-based Shakespeare's Globe's Globe on Screen program.

Samantha Spiro and Simon Paisley Day lead the cast as Katherina and Petruchio, alongside Tom Anderson, David Beames, Jamie Beamish, Michael Bertenshaw, Pip Donaghy, Patrick Driver, Tom Godwin, Christopher Keegan, Sarah MacRae, Pearce Quigley, Joseph Timms, Rick Warden, and Helen Weir. Mike Britton serves as designer and Richard Hammarton as composer.

This production was first performed and filmed at the Globe on London's South Bank in 2012.
