The initial list of speakers for the 2016 TEDxBroadway conference has been announced. The event, themed around the question "What Is the Best Broadway Can Be?," will take place Monday, February 22, at New World Stages.

This year's lineup includes author and Feinstein's/54 Below director of programming Jennifer Ashley Tepper; Queen of the Night and Sleep No More producer Randy Weiner; playwright and performer James Lecesne (The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey); and marketing strategist Kate Sweeney. Additional speakers will be announced in the coming months.

"This will be our fifth TEDxBroadway," said coorganizer Jim McCarthy, CEO of Goldstar. "We’ve had four years of sold-out events, repeating sponsors, and dedicated speakers from a variety of fields, we just couldn’t be prouder of a community that is committed to making Broadway the best it can be."

TEDxBroadway is coorganized by McCarthy and Damian Bazadona, founder of Situation Interactive.
