The Secret Garden, which opened at the St. James Theatre in April 1991 and played 709 performances before closing in January 1993, is based on the beloved novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The score is written by Lucy Simon, with a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman. The original Broadway cast featured Mandy Patinkin as Archibald Craven, Alison Fraser as Martha, Rebecca Luker as Lily, Robert Westenberg as Dr. Neville Craven, John Cameron Mitchell as Dickon, and Daisy Eagan, who won a Tony Award for her performance as Mary Lennox.

In the past, Manhattan Concert Productions has presented concerts of Ragtime, Titanic, and Parade, with professional Broadway casts, full choirs, and the New York City Chamber Orchestra.
