Several Broadway stars, including Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda and Broadway vets Ariana Grande (13) and Mark Rylance (Twelfth Night), have earned spots in Time magazine's roster of the 100 Most Influential People of 2016.

In addition to being the Pulitzer Prize-winning creator and star of the Broadway hit Hamilton, Miranda won a Tony for his musical In the Heights. He also wrote the music and lyrics for the Broadway musical version of Bring It On.

Ariana Grande is a pop music icon and two-time Grammy Award nominee. She got her start on Broadway in Jason Robert Brown's musical 13, which opened in 2008 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.

Mark Rylance, who recently won an Oscar for his performance in Bridge of Spies, is a three-time Tony Award winner. He earned honors for his performances in Boeing-Boeing (2008), Jerusalem (2011), and Twelfth Night (2014).
