This year's annual Williamstown Theatre Festival Gala will be held at Tao Downtown in New York City on Monday, February 5, 2018, honoring WTF trustee Gary Levine. Levine was managing director of the festival in the '80s and is now president of programming at Showtime.

The evening will include cocktails and dinner, along with special appearances or performances by Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford (Sunday in the Park With George), two-time Tony winner James Naughton (Chicago), Tony winner Mandy Patinkin (Homeland), Emmy Rossum (Shameless), and Tony nominee Phillipa Soo (Hamilton), among others.

Founded in 1955, Williamstown Theatre Festival earned the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre in 2002. Under artistic director Mandy Greenfield, WTF produces world-premiere plays as well as revivals of some of the great works of the Western theatrical canon. In 2015, the Festival launched a New Play Commissioning Program as well as Community Works, which unites professional theater artists with Berkshire residents to create new work. Playwrights under commission include Fernanda Coppel, Halley Feiffer, Matthew Lopez, Jiehae Park, Benjamin Scheuer, and Lucy Thurber.
