Playwright Andy Halliday gives us star-crossed love of the homosexual persuasion in his new play Nothing But Trash, now making its world premiere in a production directed by G.R. Johnson at Theater for the New City. The year is 1958: All-American boy Tab (Tim McGarrigal) falls for hunky greaser Troy (Rory Max Kaplan), much to the chagrin of Troy's alcoholic mother Beatrice (Andy Halliday). Will Tab and Troy's forbidden love land them in juvie? Can a straitlaced gay boy ever ride alongside the Leader of the Pack? Can we ever find A Place for Us? You better buy tickets and find out.
