Krysta Rodriguez Set for New York Stage and Film Powerhouse Theater Season

Initial casting has been announced.

Vassar and New York Stage and Film have announced initial casting for the 33rd Powerhouse season this summer.

Josh Radnor's Sacred Valley, directed by Sheryl Kaller (June 29-July 29), will feature Michael Chernus, Abigail Spencer, and David T. Patterson.

Lisa Kron and Peter Lerman's Stilyagi, directed by Michael Mayer (June 23-25), will star Krysta Rodriguez, Dave Thomas Brown, Lauren Patten, Dale Soules, Jeb Brown, George Salazar, Alex Boniello, Joel Perez, Sarah Hunt, Marla Louissaint, Chelsea Turbin, Megan Masako Haley, Karl Josef Co, Daniel Jackson, Thomas Hettrick, in addition to lyricist Kron who will also be performing in the workshop.

New to the play workshop series is Ngozi Anyanwu's The Homecoming Queen, replacing the previously announced Hang Man; Diana by Joe DiPietro and David Bryan, directed by Christopher Ashley; One Good Egg by Annie Evans, directed by Melia Bensussen; and The Fit by Carey Perloff, directed by Daniel Aukin.

Now in its 33rd year, Powerhouse Theater is a collaboration between New York Stage and Film and Vassar College dedicated to both emerging and established artists in the development and production of new works for theater and film. The Powerhouse program consists of an eight-week residency on the Vassar campus during which more than 300 professional artists and 40 participants in the Powerhouse Training Program live and work together to create new theater works.
