Amber Tamblyn, Josh Radnor, and More Set for Powerhouse Theater Season

Further casting has been announced for productions of New York Stage and Film and Vassar College.

New York Stage and Film and Vassar College's Powerhouse Theater has announced further casting for the productions and readings of its 2016 season.

The mainstage production of Sarah DeLappe’s The Wolves (July 21-31), directed by Lila Neugebauer will feature Susannah Perkins, Lauren Patten, Jenna Dioguardi, Tedra Millan, Sarah Mezzanotte, Brenna Coates, Samia Finnerty, Midori Francis, Lizzy Jutila, and Jodie Markel.

A workshop of the new play Fingersmith (July 29-31) by Alexa Junge, based on the novel by Sarah Waters and directed by Bill Rauch, will feature Colby Minifie, Elise Kibler, Deirdre O’Connell, Nick Westrate, Rocco Sisto, Mandi Masden, Kathryn Kates, Jade Wu, Daniel Molina, Mitchell Sink, Barzin Akhavan, Steve Mellor, Alejandra Escalante, and Ripley Sobo.

The Readings Festival includes:

The Portuguese Kid (July 22), written and directed by John Patrick Shanley, featuring Zach Grenier, Elizabeth Canavan, Marylouise Burke, Pico Alexander, and Kate Rockwell.

We Are Among Us (July 23), written by Stephen Belber, directed by Daniella Topol, featuring Devika Bhise, Heidi Armbruster, Angel Desai, Shiloh Fernandez, and Albert Jones.

Sacred Valley (July 23), written by Josh Radnor, directed by Sheryl Kaller, featuring Amber Tamblyn, Thomas Sadoski, and Michael Oberholtzer.

Between the Lines (July 24), music and lyrics by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson, book by Timothy Allen McDonald, based on the books Between the Lines and Off the Page by Jodi Picoult & Samantha van Leer, directed by Jeff Calhoun, featuring Sarah Lasko, Curt Hansen, Becca Ayers, Christina DeCicco, Krystina Alabado, Luke Hawkins, Matt Stocke, Madeline Doherty, Martin Landry, Janice Landry, and Megan Rozak.

Rancho Viejo (July 24), by Dan LeFranc, directed by Daniel Aukin, featuring Judith Ivey, Peter Scolari, Mark Zeisler, Lisa Emery, Johanna Day, Tyrone Mitchell Henderson, Socorro Santiago, and Luke Slattery.
