SPACE on Ryder Farm has announced seven residents to take part in its inaugural Season Extension Residency in February 2018.

Selected from SPACE alumni, the residents will include playwrights Clare Barron (You Got Older), Eliza Bent (Real Talk/Kip Talk), Emily Feldman, Madeleine George (The (Curious Case of the) Watson Intelligence), Mat Smart (The Royal Society of Antarctica), Charly Simpson, and James Anthony Tyler (Dolphins and Sharks).

The Season Extension Residency marks an expansion of SPACE's annual residency season, which hosts nearly 200 artists working in theater, music, dance, film, visual art, and literature, as well as activists, community organizers and nonprofit organizations each year from June through October. For the pilot Season Extension residency, past members of the Working Farm, SPACE's resident playwright group, were invited to apply to return to Ryder Farm for two to four weeks to develop new projects.

SPACE is currently accepting applications for its 2018 residency programs. The deadline for applications is 11:59pm on January 10, 2018.
