59E59 Theaters has announced the lineup of plays for their second 5A season, which will include four new plays and one new musical. Kicking off the 5A season will be Threesome, a new play from Portland, Oregon.

Threesome (July 6-August 23) is written by Yussef El Guindi and directed by Chris Coleman. In the play, Leila and Rashid, Egyptian Americans with ties to Cairo, attempt to solve their relationship issues by inviting a relative stranger into their bedroom to engage in a threesome. The production stars Alia Attallah, Dominic Rains, and Quinn Franzen.

Next, Desire (August 24-October 11) is composed of six Tennessee Williams' short stories adapted by six of the top playwrights in the U.S.: John Guare, Beth Henley, Marcus Gardley, Rebecca Gilman, David Grimm, and Elizabeth Egloff. The Acting Company produces this new work, which is directed by Michael Wilson.

Lauren Gunderson's I And You (January 11-February 28) is directed by Sean Daniels and produced by Merrimack Repertory Theatre. The play follows two very different teenagers who uncover deep bonds.

Carrie Paff, Mark Anderson Phillips, Michael Ray Wisely, and two additional cast members to be announced will star in Ideation (February 29-April 17) by Aaron Loeb. Josh Costello directs this San Francisco Playhouse production that focuses on a group of corporate consultants working together on a mysterious and ethically ambiguous project.

In addition, one show that remains to be announced will play October 12-November 29.
