The complete cast and creative team have been announced for the previously announced upcoming New York premiere of Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Steven Levenson's Dear Evan Hansen, presented by Second Stage Theatre in association with Stacey Mindich Productions. The production will begin performances March 26 with an official opening on May 1.

The company will include several performers who appeared in last summer's world premiere production at Washington D.C.’s Arena Stage, including Ben Platt as the title character, Evan Hansen. Also reprising their performances will be Laura Dreyfuss as Zoe, Mike Faist as Connor, Rachel Bay Jones as Heidi, Will Roland as Jared, and Jennifer Laura Thompson as Cynthia. New cast members include John Dossett as Larry and Kristolyn Lloyd as Alana.

Dear Evan Hansen features choreography by Danny Mefford (Fun Home), and direction by three-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif (Rent). Scenic design is by David Korins (Hamilton), costume design by Emily Rebholz (If/Then), lighting design by Japhy Weideman (Bright Star), sound design by Nevin Steinberg (Bright Star), and projection design by Peter Nigrini (An Act of God). The musical director is Ben Cohn (Wicked) and the music supervisor is Alex Lacamoire (Hamilton).

With a score by Tony nominees Pasek and Paul (A Christmas Story), and a book by Steven Levenson (Masters of Sex), Dear Evan Hansen is described as follows: "Evan Hansen is about to get everything he's ever wanted: the girl of his dreams, the perfect family he's always longed for, and a chance to finally fit in. He just has to hope that his chance to connect isn't blown by the secrets he has to conceal."
