The Bristol Old Vic production of Eugene O'Neill's Long Day’s Journey Into Night will make its U.S. premiere at Brooklyn Academy of Music's Harvey Theater May 8-27, 2018.

Directed by Richard Eyre, the production will star Jeremy Irons and Lesley Manville, reprising the roles they played in the U.K. production, as James and Mary Tyrone. The rest of the cast has yet to be announced.

O'Neill's semiautobiographical play pulls back the curtain on the Connecticut home of the Tyrone family, where deep-seated resentments and bourbon-fueled tirades cause a family to expose their darkest natures. He paints the powerful and heartrending portrait of a single day that begins as any other, only to become a night from which they will never recover.
