Tony Award winner Cady Huffman (The Producers) will join the cast of off-Broadway's Shear Madness beginning June 20. Huffman will assume the role of Mrs. Shubert, originated by Lynne Wintersteller. At the same performance, Jonathan Randell Silver (Please Continue) will assume the role of Mike Thomas, currently played by Ethan Dubin.

Beginning July 15, the production will transfer from its original home at New World Stages to the Davenport Theatre. It will play its final performance at New World Stages on July 10, and will be dark July 11-14.

Set in a local hair salon that turns into a wacky murder scene, Shear Madness is a whodunit where the audience gets to solve the crime. The play first opened in Boston (where it still runs) in 1978 and has since been seen in major cities across the United States including Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Philadelphia.
